“Various types of barley” experience
Sat 13 Apr
|Sagamihara City
We dig deep into wheat, which is a familiar food. First, let's talk about types of wheat such as barley, wheat, and rye. While observing the actual items, we will talk about their uses and history. Wheat is threshed from the ears, sorted, and ground into flour using a stone mill. The wheat bread is then molded, fermented, and then baked over charcoal before being eaten. I will also make barley tea by roasting and boiling barley. By boiling it over charcoal, it becomes a slightly different barley tea. A half-day experience packed with learning, observing, threshing, milling, and eating.
